‘Born 2 conquer’, commonly known as B2C artistes have been given a damning deadline before which they must have dropped their stage name, B2C. This stems from a court battle between the singing trio and their former manager, Andy Events, which is taking an ugly twist every passing day.
The Ugandan ‘All boy’ group parted ways with their manager who had managed them for the last two years, citing his continued busy schedule and conflict of interest.
Initially, there was to be no bad blood between the artistes and the former manager whom they described as their ‘music parent’. However, Andy seems to have taken the split bitterly and wants to teach the singers a lesson they cannot forget.
Andy Events now demands that Bobby Lash, Mr. Lee and Delivard Julio cease to perform under the stage name, B2C and must also cease to perform all the songs that were released by the boy group under his management. According to him, they have 48 hours to take heed. He claims the name will be taken up by the new artistes that he will sign to the management.
Now the battle is destined for court since the boys have refused to give up their name and music without a fight.
This is not the first time artistes and former manager come face to face angrily over music, name and property after a bitter split. A few years ago, Goodlyfe artistes Weasel and Mowzey Radio(RIP) were involved in an ugly feud with their former manager, Jeff Kiwa over property including the Neverland house after their ugly split.
It appears we are going to have another ‘Manager Vs Artistes’ battle raging on for months, or years.
