Bakiga Nation Set To Mark Five Years This June

Bakiga Nation, a cultural festival that brings together people that originate from the Kigezi Sub region will again be in high gear this June as that mark five years.


This year’s festivities will be marked on Sunday 2nd June at UMA Show grounds.

The Marty’s day eve event will doubtlessly be characterized by eats, Drinks and dances from Kigezi as well as all the local dishes and much more.

This will be the seventh time in five years that the Bakiga are converging to celebrate their ancestry.

The proceeds from the Bakiga Nation event will go along way to facilitate the activities under their Rukundo egumeho foundation and more.

Some of the prominent Bakiga include the Bank of Uganda governor Emmanuel Mutebile, Ex Premier Amama Mbabazi, current Premier Ruhakana Rugunda, Amos Nzeyi and many more.
