Global star Eddy Kenzo on Saturday broke down in tears as he performed at Bobi Wine’s Kyarenga concert.
The Banq records boss was giving a shift to one of his music fathers, Bobi Wine who was holding his legendary concert at One Love beach, Busabala.
Clad in Black pants and a Black, yellow and Red jacket with a Red cap, Kenzo took strides to the stage like a man possessed.
He marched amidst cheers from the animated crowd, stood mute for a minute before raising his hand with a clenched fist. He bellowed to the visibly equally possessed revelers to do the same. All this while, “Sitya Loss”, his monster hit was blaring loud from the speakers.
He acknowledged the People’s love for Bobi and wowed, charmed, serenaded them as he performed.
He took the frenzy party animals through his popular hits before singing “Mbakooye”, a song that criticizes the corrupt government officials.
As he performed this song, he got emotional, sprawled himself on stage and covered his face with his hands.
This prompted the security personnel to come close to see if he was fine. Kenzo then rose and belted his heart out to the thousands before him, whose affinity for red was indefatigable.
It was payback time for Kenzo, and he did it to perfection.
