The inaugural Girls festival held in Kabale may not have gone as an event that that achieved the set goals but it will be remembered for the energetic and spirited performance of global star, Eddy Kenzo.
The Sitya Loss star was among a host of talented artistes that graced the night such as Geosteady, Nina Roz, Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Navio as well as international artistes such as Franti an S-Wrap.
All was rosy and fun throughout the day as fans thronged Kabale municipal stadium in droves to cheer their stars on.
This was in the free entry event organized by Reach a hand Uganda as they celebrated the girl child.
Singer after singer put up electrifying performance, much to the enjoyment of the Kabale crowd.
However, the house was brought down when the night’s last act was announced: Eddy Kenzo.
The Banq records boss never disappointed. The singer popped on stage amid delirious applause from fans and went ahead to put up a spirited performance, reminiscent of a young Bebe Cool.
Starting with the monster hit, Sitya loss that shpt him to fame, the BET award winner took he fans through memory lane, performing his earlier hits such as Stamina, Zivuga and Superpower, as well as his latest hits such as Pull up, Soraye and more.
The greatest round of applause was however reserved for his last song on the night; Nze Asinga.
The crowd went into frenzy when blared through the speakers, crowning a wonderful night for Eddy.
At Girls festival, Kenzo was performing in Kabale for the first time. But judging from the enormous love he received, he must be returning soon.
