The Miss Uganda beauty pageant is back to choose the new beauty queen, with the incumbent Quin Abenakyo coming to the end of her reign.
She may be the most successful Miss Uganda to have ever donned the crown, but her time is up. Quin represented Uganda well and was successful at the Miss World pageant where she emerged third and was as a result drowned Miss World Africa.
However, the search for the next queen is on, and those with what it takes should start undergoing the necessary procedure.
Brenda Nanyonjo, one of the organisers, during a press briefing at Sheraton Hotel Kampala said that this years pageant is time bound and changes will be made where two regional competitions will be held on the same day.
She said that the successful candidates all enter boot camp on 6th July and that the grand finale shall be held on 27th July.

Talent Africa’s Ali Alhibai one of the sponsors revealed that Zari Hassan will bounce back as one of the judges and patrons.
