Friends, family members and fans of Ashburg Kato have pinned police for holding him incommunicado.
Ashburg Kato was allegedly arrested by security operatives in the aftermath of Bobi Wine’s foiled Easter concerts.
Kato, the proprietor of online channel Ghetto TV was allegedly apprehended by the security operatives but is yet to surface anywhere in court or in any police station.
Relatives, friends, and fans have desperately hopped from one police station to another with a hope of seeing him but have hit a dead end.
They now threaten to file a petition to court does that court propels the Uganda police to produce him in court whether dead or alive in what is known as ‘habeas corpus’.
The Uganda police force has however denied having Ashburg Kato in their custody and advised family members to file a case of mission g persons with police.
This is not the first time a Ugandan is held incommunicado. Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine, his aide Eddy Ssebufu alias Eddie Mutwe were last year held by police under circumstances that at first forced them to feign ignorance about their arrest.
They would later be produced in court and charged.
