House of Prayer ministries boss pastor Aloysius Bugingo has hastened to clear the air and sound apologetic to his wife after he openly shamed her this week.
The man of God was this week caught on camera as he openly told his congregation that he has slept with his wife Teddy Naluswa for less than 100 times in the 29 years they have in marriage and that he has not had sex with her in the last ten years because of her uncontrollable menstruation.
Bugingo added that he has been tired to buying cartons of cotton wool for his wife because pads had been deemed useless due to her uncontrollable bleeding.
However, his statement has been criticised by many married people, insisting that the manner in which the man of God shamed his wife is ungodly and shames all women and the institution of marriage.
In fact, many prominent Ugandans including city councillor Mohammed Ssegirinya and Fifi da Queen have vowed to storm his Canaan land premises to deliver cartons of cotton wool in protest.
But a frightened Bugingo has now cleared the air saying that he was attacking or shaming his wife but was instead responding to the allegations that Teddy herself had said about him.
“All I said was not to hurt anyone, not any woman. On my level, I can’t do something to offend women, not at all. What I said was in reference to what my wife had said sometime.” said a broken Bugingo.
There were also reports that the statement by the man of God has made his current fiance Suzan Makula to think twice.
